THE COURT ADJOURNS MTN COURT SUIT AGAINST NCC FOR OUT OF COURT SETTLEMENT
The Court Adjourns MTN Court Suit Against NCC For Out Of Court Settlement; The Case between the Mobile Telecommunication Network MTN Nigeria, and the NCC the Nigeria Communication Commission over a fine of 1.04trillion Naira, that was leveled against the MTN over failure of disconnecting, line that are not registered.The case was adjourned by the court to the 18th of March to enable them to out of court settlement, or otherwise the court case will continue and they will be a hearing.
This development that led to the adjournment was due the statement of the Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN, the counsel to the MTN, saying that both parties are already on the matter discussing on how to resolve the issue of out of court.
The Counsel asked that the court should grant them 60days in other to let and enable both parties discuss and resolve the matter.
Oladipo Okpeseyi The Counsel, to the Attorney General of the Federation,respond to the 60days request of the MTN counsel, stating the MTN has not been good in keeping their word on out of court settlement.
