Tompolo Appeals His Arrest Ordered By the Federal High Court

Tompolo Appeals His Arrest Ordered By the Federal High Court: The former militant popularly known as Tompolo filled an appeal to the Appeal Court in Lagos. Chief Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo is challenging the Federal High Court, in Lagos, order for his arrest.

It was on 2016 January 14 when Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court in Lagos issued Tompolo’s arrest warrant. Tompolo had filed an application On January 27, 2016, before the court, saying that the court should revoke the warrant of his arrest.

The said appeal that was filled by Tompolo on 27th January 2016 was argued in court On the 8th of February, 2016, after the said argument the court dismissed Tompolo’s appeal.

Tompolo has been determined to pursue the appeal, so he has compiled the record of appeal and he has forwarded it to the Registry, at the Court of Appeal, in Lagos.

the pages of the appeal sent to the Registry is up to 70-page and record shows that the the appeal has been  received by the Registrar of the Court of Appeal, The record shows that on March 3, 2016, the Appeal filled number is CA/L/240/2016. we received that The prosecutor, of the EFCC, has been served with the record of appeal also.

The reason of the appeal by Tompolo so that the Appeal court should revoke the warrant of arrest issued in his name by the Federal High Court to the EFCC, stating that there was no record and evidence of the agency inviting him for questioning.
